Privacy Policy
Effective Date: April 20, 2026
PROMOTE ("we", "our", or "us") values your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, protect, and share information when you use the PROMOTE mobile application (the "App").
By using the App, you acknowledge the practices described in this Privacy Policy.
PROMOTE is operated by Promote Platform Group LLC.
1. Information We Collect
A. Account Information
When you create or use an account, we may collect:
- Display name
- Username or handle
- Email address
- Profile photo, if provided
- Other profile information you choose to submit
B. Content You Provide
We may collect content you create, upload, or submit through the App, including:
- Event listings
- Service listings
- Profile content
- Saved content
- Attendance-related activity
- Messages, interactions, invitations, or similar activity if those features are available
- Contact information you choose to include in listings or profile-related areas
C. Location Information
PROMOTE supports location-based discovery for events and services.
Depending on your settings and device permissions, we may use:
- Precise location, such as latitude and longitude from device GPS
- A selected or confirmed city and state
- A default location you choose within the App when GPS is not used
D. Device and Usage Information
We may collect limited technical and usage information, such as:
- Device type
- Operating system
- App version
- Crash information
- Diagnostic or performance data
- Basic analytics, if enabled
2. How Location Privacy Works in PROMOTE
PROMOTE includes controls, limits, and fallback behavior designed to reduce unnecessary location use.
A. GPS Setting
If "Use GPS for nearby events" or similar location-based discovery settings are enabled, PROMOTE may use precise location to improve nearby results.
If GPS-based discovery is turned off:
- PROMOTE stops relying on precise GPS location for nearby discovery
- PROMOTE may instead use a default city and state or other non-precise location behavior supported by the App
B. Limited Location Use
PROMOTE is not intended to continuously track your location in the background for ordinary app use.
Location access is generally limited to situations such as:
- App startup, when location is needed
- User-initiated refresh or similar action
- Nearby discovery features that depend on your selected settings
C. Cached Location and Expiration
To reduce repeated location access, PROMOTE may temporarily cache location information. Cached location data may expire after a limited period and may be refreshed only when needed.
This behavior is intended to:
- Reduce unnecessary GPS access
- Improve startup performance
- Preserve app usability when location data was recently available
D. Fallback Behavior
If GPS is disabled, denied, unavailable, stale, incomplete, or otherwise cannot provide a usable result, PROMOTE may fall back to:
- A user-selected default city or state
- Previously selected non-precise location settings
- Cached location behavior for a limited period where supported by the App
This fallback behavior is intended to keep the App usable without requiring precise location at all times.
E. No Guarantee of Exact Location Accuracy
Location-based results may depend on device signals, cached data, permissions, network conditions, user settings, selected defaults, and third-party platform behavior. PROMOTE does not guarantee exact or continuous location accuracy.
3. Privacy Settings and User Controls
PROMOTE includes settings and feature controls that affect what others can see and how certain parts of the App work.
A. Profile Visibility
Your profile visibility settings may control whether your profile, organizer information, or public-facing activity can be visible to other users.
B. Follow, Connection, and Blocking Controls
PROMOTE may support follow requests, follower visibility, connection visibility, blocking, or similar social controls. Depending on your settings and available features, some follow behavior may be automatic while other behavior may require approval or be restricted.
If you block another user, or another user blocks you, certain profiles, events, services, invitations, messages, organizer information, or related activity may be hidden, restricted, or no longer visible in parts of the App.
C. Attendance Visibility
Your settings may control whether other users, followers, connections, organizers, or similar audiences can see events you are attending, interested in, invited to, or otherwise associated with through attendance-related features.
D. Event Discovery Controls and Plan Eligibility
Certain event-related privacy or discovery controls may only be available to users on eligible event plans or subscription tiers, such as Elite where offered.
For events only, PROMOTE may allow eligible users to limit whether an event appears in search results, featured placements, recommendations, or other public discovery surfaces.
Where this feature is available, marking an event as non-searchable may prevent it from appearing in those discovery areas.
If that feature is not available under your current plan or account type, your event may remain discoverable based on the App's default behavior and your other active settings.
If payments, subscriptions, ticketing, or purchases are offered, PROMOTE and its payment, app store, or transaction service providers may process information needed to complete, verify, manage, refund, dispute, or audit those transactions. PROMOTE may receive limited transaction-related information, such as payment status, subscription status, product identifiers, receipt information, or transaction metadata, but may not receive full payment card details where those are handled by third-party processors.
E. Services Publication and Owner Discretion
Services are added, published, and managed at the service owner's discretion, subject to platform rules, moderation, account status, and any visibility controls made available in the App.
Services are not governed by the same event-specific non-searchable control described above.
F. Invites, Messages, and Related Activity
PROMOTE may support invites, notifications, messages, attendance indicators, and similar activity. Visibility of these features may depend on your settings, the specific feature involved, and how you interact with the App.
G. Location Controls
You can control whether GPS is used for nearby discovery. Turning GPS-based discovery off may shift the App toward city-based or default-location browsing where supported.
These controls are intended to give you more control over visibility and location usage. However, no system can guarantee absolute privacy or security.
4. Account Deletion and Data Retention
PROMOTE may allow users to request account deletion directly through the App.
A. What Happens When You Delete Your Account
When an account deletion request is completed:
- Your access to the account may be revoked
- Your profile information may be deleted, anonymized, hidden, or disassociated from public-facing areas of the App
- Certain events, services, organizer listings, or related content may be unpublished, hidden, restricted, removed, or no longer visible
- Some social, attendance, invite, moderation, reporting, safety, fraud-prevention, diagnostic, abuse-prevention, or platform-integrity records may remain temporarily or permanently where reasonably necessary
B. Delayed Removal and Backups
Deletion may not occur instantly across all systems.
PROMOTE may temporarily retain limited information in:
- Security systems
- Logs
- Cached systems
- Backup systems
- Fraud-prevention systems
- Abuse-prevention systems
- Legal compliance systems
Retained information may remain for a limited period until ordinary deletion, cleanup, overwrite, retention, backup rotation, or system maintenance processes occur.
C. Shared or Public Content
Content previously shared with other users may remain visible in limited situations, including where:
- Another user interacted with the content before deletion
- Records are required for safety, abuse prevention, moderation, legal compliance, dispute resolution, or platform integrity
- Content was previously distributed, cached, reported, moderated, or archived through ordinary platform operations
D. Organizer and Listing Effects
If an organizer or provider deletes their account:
- Events or services may be unpublished, removed, hidden, canceled, restricted, or otherwise affected
- Some references to past activity, invites, attendance-related activity, moderation records, or transactional records may remain where reasonably necessary for platform integrity, user safety, legal compliance, or dispute handling
E. No Guarantee of Immediate or Complete Removal
While PROMOTE will make reasonable efforts to process deletion requests, we cannot guarantee immediate removal from every system, cache, backup, device, network, search index, archive, log, or third-party environment.
5. How We Use Your Information
We may use collected information to:

6. How Information May Be Shared
A. With Other Users, Based on App Behavior and Your Settings
Depending on your settings, activity, and the features you use, other users may be able to see certain information, such as:
- Your display name, handle, profile photo, or profile content
- Public listings you create
- Organizer-related information you choose to provide
- Contact information you choose to include in a listing
- Attendance-related information if you allow it
- Invites, follows, connections, or other activity intentionally made visible through the App
B. Search and Discovery Visibility
Events submitted to PROMOTE may appear in search results, featured results, recommendations, or other discovery surfaces unless restricted by applicable privacy, visibility, blocking, account, or feature-based controls.
For eligible event-plan users, PROMOTE may support an event-only control that allows certain events to be made non-searchable.
Services are not governed by that same event-specific non-searchable control. Instead, services may be created or published at the owner's discretion, subject to the App's available controls, platform rules, and policies.
C. With Service Providers
We may use third-party service providers to support app operations, including hosting, authentication, storage, analytics, diagnostics, messaging, and security.
D. For Legal, Safety, and Enforcement Reasons
We may disclose information if required to:
- Comply with applicable law, regulation, legal process, or lawful request
- Enforce our Terms or policies
- Protect the rights, safety, property, or security of users, PROMOTE, or others
- Detect or respond to fraud, abuse, technical issues, or security incidents
E. Business Transfers
If PROMOTE is involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, sale of assets, or similar transaction, information may be transferred as part of that process.
7. Data Storage and Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards to protect information.
PROMOTE may rely on secure infrastructure and related protections, including:
- Authentication controls
- Access restrictions
- Platform security rules
- Permission-based access where applicable
- Privacy and visibility settings designed to limit access to certain information
Even so, no method of transmission, storage, or electronic processing is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary to:
- Provide the App
- Maintain accounts and core functionality

You are responsible for reviewing and adjusting your settings to match your preferences.
10. Children's Privacy
PROMOTE is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
If we learn that such information has been collected, we may delete it as required by applicable law.
11. Third-Party Services
The App may rely on third-party services or infrastructure. Their handling of data may be governed by their own terms and privacy policies.
PROMOTE is not responsible for third-party privacy practices except as required by law.
