ContactNest Terms of Use

Effective Date: September 28, 2026

These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your use of the ContactNest mobile application (the "App"), published by Promote Platform Group LLC ("we", "our", or "us").

1. Acceptance of These Terms

By downloading, installing, purchasing, or using ContactNest, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

2. What ContactNest Is

ContactNest is a contacts-management application for searching, editing, grouping, organizing, and reviewing contacts that your phone makes available. It also provides ContactNest-owned organization, My Profile, duplicate review, export, backup and restore, App Lock, ringtone tools, and, on Android, optional Phone-app and call-protection functionality.

ContactNest is not a contact-hosting service, ContactNest cloud-sync service, messaging service, carrier, emergency service, or cloud backup provider. Provider contacts remain in the phone’s contact system and in any provider account that owns them.

3. Your Contacts and Your Responsibility

Contacts and other information you view or edit through ContactNest remain yours. ContactNest edits real provider contacts through the phone’s contact system. If a contact belongs to an account that synchronizes, the provider may carry that change to other devices.

Edits, merges, and deletions can affect your real contacts. Review changes before confirming them. Some actions may be difficult or impossible to undo once the contact provider has synchronized them.

You are responsible for:

4. Contact Accounts and Third-Party Services

Contact providers such as Google, Apple, Samsung, Exchange, and others control their own accounts, synchronization, groups, labels, and limits. ContactNest does not operate those services and is not responsible for their availability or behavior.

ContactNest is independent and is not affiliated with or endorsed by Google, Apple, Samsung, carriers, or other platform or contact providers.

5. ContactNest Backup and Contact Export

A ContactNest backup (.contactnest) is for supported ContactNest-owned data. It does not contain a copy of your provider contacts. Restore attempts to reconnect supported data to contacts that already exist on the destination device. Missing or ambiguous contacts can be skipped.

A vCard (.vcf) export is different: it can contain provider contact information for use in another compatible app. You are responsible for where you save or send exported or backup files and for protecting the personal information they contain.

File formats, provider behavior, and platform behavior can change. We do not warrant that every field or relationship will transfer perfectly between devices, providers, or third-party apps.

6. Unlock ContactNest

ContactNest is free to download. Unlock ContactNest is an optional one-time purchase. The current U.S. price is $9.99, subject to the price shown by the applicable app store at the time of purchase.

The unlock opens advanced organization and customization capabilities, including ContactNest group management, bulk management, the custom ringtone maker, App Lock, ContactNest backup and restore, duplicate cleanup, and other capabilities identified as unlocked in the App.

Unlock ContactNest is not a subscription. It does not renew automatically and ContactNest contains no advertising.

We may change the features included in the unlock or the price for future purchases. We will not revoke an existing purchase merely to charge again for the same purchased entitlement.

7. Purchases, Payment, and Restore

Purchases are processed by the app store from which ContactNest is installed. The store handles payment methods, billing, taxes, receipts, refunds, and purchase-account ownership under its own terms.

ContactNest provides a Restore purchase function that asks the store whether the current store account owns the unlock. A purchase is generally restorable only through the same store ecosystem and store account that owns it.

8. Android Phone Integration

On Android, you may optionally choose ContactNest as the default Phone app. Android controls that role and shows its own confirmation dialog. You can return the role to another compatible Phone app at any time.

While ContactNest holds the role, it may provide incoming-call and in-progress-call controls and read the device call log for the Calls tab as permitted by Android. Call presentation and availability also depend on Android, the device, the carrier, network conditions, and other services outside our control.

ContactNest is not an emergency or life-safety service. Do not rely on the App as a substitute for carrier, device, or emergency-service functionality.

9. Call Protection

On supported Android devices, Call Protection uses a system call-screening role separate from the default Phone-app role. Supported rules may silence or block selected calls or contacts. Android and the device remain responsible for the underlying telephony and screening framework.

10. Ringtones

ContactNest can assign supported contact ringtones and, on compatible Android devices, change the phone default ringtone. The custom ringtone maker can trim audio you choose into a ringtone file. You are responsible for having the rights to use any audio you select.

11. App Lock

App Lock relies on your device’s own authentication. It protects access to ContactNest itself; it does not encrypt provider contacts or prevent other authorized apps from accessing the same contact provider.

12. Permissions and System Roles

ContactNest requests permissions, special access, or system roles only for features that need them. Some features will not work if the relevant access is denied or later revoked. Android may separately control Contacts access, the default Phone role, call screening, notifications, full-screen call presentation, ringtone-setting access, and other telephony capabilities.

13. Availability and Changes

We may add, change, or remove features or release updates. Functionality can depend on device hardware, operating-system versions, provider accounts, app-store services, carrier services, and network availability that we do not control.

14. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

15. License and Intellectual Property

Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use ContactNest on compatible devices you own or control.

ContactNest itself, including its name, icon, design, and software, is owned by Promote Platform Group LLC and protected by applicable law. Open-source components remain governed by their own licenses. Your contacts and content remain yours.

16. Disclaimer of Warranties

ContactNest is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind to the fullest extent permitted by law.

We do not warrant that:

17. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Promote Platform Group LLC and its owners, operators, affiliates, licensors, and service providers will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for loss of data, profits, revenue, goodwill, or business opportunities arising from or related to use of the App.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability arising out of or related to ContactNest will be limited to the greater of the amount you actually paid for Unlock ContactNest in the twelve months preceding the claim or ten U.S. dollars (US$10).

18. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Promote Platform Group LLC and its owners, operators, affiliates, and service providers from claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses arising from your misuse of the App, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of applicable law or the rights of others.

19. Termination and Discontinuation

You may stop using ContactNest at any time by uninstalling it. ContactNest has no ContactNest account to close. Uninstalling does not delete provider contacts, but it can remove ContactNest-owned local data that you did not separately back up.

20. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms as ContactNest changes. We will post updated Terms at this address and revise the Effective Date above.

21. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Mississippi, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.

22. Severability and Entire Agreement

If any provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in effect. These Terms together with the Privacy Policy are the agreement between you and us regarding ContactNest.
