PinKeep Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how information is handled in the PinKeep mobile application (the "App"), published by Promote Platform Group LLC ("we", "our", or "us").

This policy covers PinKeep only. Other applications published by Promote Platform Group LLC have their own separate policies, because they work differently.

1. What PinKeep Is

PinKeep is a personal place organizer. It lets you save places you want to remember, organize them with categories, tags and notes, filter them later, and open them in your maps app when you want to go.

2. Information Stored on Your Device

The information you put into PinKeep is stored in a database file on your own device. Depending on what you enter or share in, this may include:

• A place’s name
• Address details such as street, city, state, postal code and country
• Map coordinates for the place, when the link or entry provides them
• The category you file the place under, including categories you create
• Tags you apply
• Your own notes about the place
• Markers such as "favorite" and "want to go"
• Any custom fields you define and fill in
• The original text or link a place came from, when you shared one in
• App settings and preferences

This information stays on your device. It is not transmitted to us, and it is not synchronized to any cloud service by PinKeep.

Please note that the coordinates PinKeep stores describe the place you saved. They come from the link or the details you provided. PinKeep does not request access to your device’s location, and does not track where you are or where you have been.

3. No PinKeep Account

PinKeep does not require you to create an account, sign up, or log in. We do not ask for your name, email address, or phone number in order to use the App. We do not create a user profile for you on our systems, because there is no PinKeep service holding one.

4. When PinKeep Uses the Network

Map applications often share a place as a shortened link rather than a readable address. When you share such a link into PinKeep, the App requests that link so it can follow the redirect and read the full destination address, which is what actually contains the place name and location.

Two things are worth being specific about:

• That request goes to the service that issued the link — for a Google Maps short link, that is Google. It does not go to us, and we receive no copy of it.
• PinKeep reads only the redirect information it needs in order to identify the destination. It stops as soon as the destination is readable, and does not download the page contents.

As with any internet request, the service receiving it may record standard technical information such as your IP address and the request details, according to that service’s own privacy policy. If you never share a link into PinKeep, this request never happens.

If the network is unavailable, the import is not lost: PinKeep falls back to whatever information the shared text already contained.

5. Opening Places in Other Apps

PinKeep can hand a saved place off to other apps on your device at your request:

• Opening in a maps app. PinKeep can open a place in your maps application or browser. Once you leave PinKeep, that app’s own terms and privacy policy apply to what happens there.
• Add to Calendar. PinKeep can open your device’s own calendar event screen, pre-filled with details of a visit, so that you can save it. Your calendar app is what stores the event. PinKeep never reads your calendar and holds no calendar account.
• Sharing. When you choose to share a place or an exported file, your device’s standard share sheet appears and you choose the destination. Where that information goes is your choice, and what happens to it afterward is governed by the app or service you send it to.

6. Exports and Imports

PinKeep can export your library to a .pinkeep file. That file is created on your device and contains the place information described in Section 2, including your private notes. It is yours: we do not receive a copy, and exporting does not upload anything to us.

Because an export contains your notes and saved places, treat it like any other personal file, and consider where you are storing or sending it before you share it.

Importing reads a .pinkeep file you choose and writes its contents into your local database. Reading and previewing such a file happens entirely on your device.

7. Purchases and Billing

PinKeep offers PinKeep Pro, a one-time purchase that unlocks the Import feature. On Android, this purchase is processed by Google Play.

• We do not process your payment. Your payment method and billing details are handled by the app store, under that store’s own privacy policy. We never see or receive your card or bank details.
• To determine whether you have purchased PinKeep Pro, the App asks the app store what your store account owns. The App keeps a local record on your device that the store confirmed the purchase, so that PinKeep Pro keeps working when you are offline.
• Your entitlement follows the store account used to make the purchase. Restoring a purchase re-asks the store the same question.

8. Platform and Third-Party Services

We do not sell your information, and we do not share your saved places with anyone, because we do not have them. However, PinKeep is an app running on a platform, and normal platform services are involved in ordinary use. To be accurate rather than absolute, the parties that may receive information in the course of using PinKeep are:

• The operator of a link you share in (for example, Google, for a Google Maps link), as described in Section 4.
• Your app store (for example, Google Play), for distributing the App, delivering updates, and processing a PinKeep Pro purchase.
• Your device’s operating system and the apps you choose, when you open a place in maps, add an event to your calendar, or share a place or file.

Each of those parties handles information under its own privacy policy, not ours.

9. What PinKeep Does Not Do

To state this plainly, the App does not:

• Require or offer a PinKeep account
• Upload your saved places to us or synchronize them to a cloud service
• Include analytics, advertising, or tracking software
• Build an advertising profile about you, or sell your information
• Request access to your device’s location
• Read your contacts or your calendar

10. Removing Your Data

Because your information lives on your device, you control removing it:

• Delete an individual saved place from within the App.
• Clear the App’s stored data using your device’s application storage settings, where your platform offers that option.
• Uninstall PinKeep. Removing the App removes the local database it created, along with the places saved in it. Any files you exported earlier are separate, and remain wherever you saved them until you delete those too.

There is no separate request to make to us, because we hold no copy of your place library to delete. Records of a purchase are held by your app store, not by us, and are subject to that store’s policies.

Deleting your data is permanent. If you want to keep it, export it first.

11. Data Security

Your PinKeep data is protected primarily by your device: its lock screen, its user accounts, and the operating system’s separation of app storage. Keeping your device updated and locked is the most effective protection for what you have saved in PinKeep.

Optional App Lock. App Lock is off unless you turn it on. You can choose to require your device’s authentication, such as fingerprint, Face ID, PIN, pattern, or password, before opening PinKeep or returning to it. Authentication is performed by your device’s operating system. PinKeep does not receive or store your fingerprint, face data, or device passcode; the App only receives the result of that authentication. Your App Lock preference is stored locally on your device. App Lock protects access through the PinKeep app and does not encrypt the PinKeep database or exported .pinkeep files.

No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. Exported files are not encrypted by PinKeep, so store and share them accordingly.

12. Children’s Privacy

PinKeep is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. PinKeep requires no account and collects no personal information on our servers. If you believe a child has provided information to us in some way, please contact us using the details below.

13. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as PinKeep changes. When we do, we will post the updated policy at this address and revise the Effective Date at the top. If a change is significant, we will make reasonable efforts to make it noticeable. Continuing to use the App after an update means you accept the revised policy.
